Full Weekend Short Course in Active Analysis

What is this?

Guided by expert RADA and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama teacher, Dan Sherer, learn to reliably and methodically explore a script through play and structured improvisation. Working in a small group and focusing on the actors’ experiential encounter with circumstances, Dan will take you through the process from beginning to end.

Day 1:

• Introducing key principles of instrumental softness; sensory attention; impulse release

• The language of Events.

• Approaching a text from the position of the embodied actor

• Solo improvisation, group improvisation, and object work

Day 2.

• Improvisation within the scripted form of a play - physically and psycholoogically improvising while saying the right words.
